Colli Pesaresi
The is a Protected Designation of Origin "Colli Pesaresi". It includes: white, red, rosé, spumanti, Biancame, Trebbiano and Sangiovese. The latter is also produced in the types riserva and novello. In addition, there are also possible indications of sub-area on the label, as specified in the specification.
Grapes
The white and spumante are obtained from grapes from Trebbiano toscano (locally called Albanella), Verdicchio, Biancame, Pinot grigio, Pinot nero, Riesling italico, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot bianco vines. They can be used alone or together and in any case for a share of not less than 75%. Red and rosé, on the other hand, have a minimum of 70% Sangiovese. In the case of Biancame, Trebbiano and Sangiovese, the reference grape must represent 85% of the total, while the quotas for wines with sub-areas, for which reference should be made to the regulations, are more variable. Finally, it should be stressed that, in all types, up to the remaining share, can be used other similar berry varieties, non-aromatic, grown in the Marche.
Physicochemical and Organoleptic properties
The "Colli Pesaresi" bianco is a light and fresh wine, with a pleasant taste that does not tire of the palate. The color is straw yellow and the scents are reminiscent of broom and white flowers. If the grapes are grown along the coast, the flavour of the wine increases. What brings out the red, on the other hand, is the purplish nuance that enhances the ruby color and that turns to garnet with aging. The aroma is vinous and soft, the taste is dry and dry. Finally, in wines with indication of vine variety or sub-area, the organoleptic characteristics, well outlined in the specification, are suitable for this type of test.
Grape production area
A small fraction of the "Alto Adige" wines are produced in the plains, the rest are in the medium hilly and hilly area.
